This is a large mounded tomb with a surrounding moat with a width of more than 50 m.
In its outer bank, a row of cylindrical haniwa (earthenware funerary figures) has been discovered.
Research by the Imperial Household Agency has revealed that there was a castle on the mound part of the tomb 500 years ago, after a large-scale alteration.
