Aoyama Kofun

Length of the mound: 62 m in diameter
Excavated artifacts: Cylindrical haniwa (earthenware funerary figure), as well as representational haniwa, such as house-shaped, sunshade-shaped, shield-shaped, quiver-shaped, horse-shaped, and human-shaped haniwa

A low, short, square-shaped tsukuridashi (projection near the constricted part) has been constructed as an annex to the round mound, with a moat surrounding the mound.
Around this mounded tomb, six mounded tombs have been discovered. Along with Aoyama Mounded Tomb, they are called the Aoyama Mounded Tomb Group.
